The Switch from a Vegan Diet to Carnivore Diet | Species Appropriate Nutrition

On vegan going Carnivore. We received the message in the photo below & it got us thinking. While Carnivore is technically just a “WOE” (way of eating), to us, it is a “WOL” (way of life).

This WOL represents our commitment to our health & the planet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Carnivore doesn’t mean having to eat *only* meat all the time, but rather, following an animal-based diet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Unfortunately, it seems like a larger percentage of the future generation will be plant-based, not animal-based. This presents us with a health and environmental crisis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The most obvious opposition to Carnivore is Veganism. Outside of food choices, we have a lot in common. We both care about the environment, the future of our planet, our health & the health of future generations. We are extremely passionate about animal welfare and all things sustainability. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The major difference is providing our bodies with species appropriate nutrition (animal-based, bio-available, nutrient dense)… and (despite the overwhelming amount of research that demonstrates the importance of ruminant animals for our soil), our view of how to reverse global warming & take care of our planet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Luckily, human health & minimal environmental impact go hand-in-hand. If we place our focus on proper human nutrition, minimal impact will come along with it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yet these issues must be tackled separately. One cannot fully understand and appreciate the role of ruminant animals in taking care of the planet unless he or she understands the role of proper nutrition in taking care of his or her own health. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We used to be afraid of posting far sided opinions. There’s always backlash. But when it comes to things we feel so deeply about, there’s no time to hold back. Once heard say “it is not your fault, but it is your problem” and this is so true. It may not be our fault, but it is our problem, and it is up to all of us to make a difference. Please let us know how we can do this better & how we can make a bigger impact on our generation.
