Say hello to the simplest ice cream recipe! This raw vanilla ice cream is full of healthy fats and is incredibly simple to make!
Why RAW ice cream? Well, there's actually quite a few reasons we prefer raw dairy over pasteurized. You can read more about that in our blog post series about raw milk. Within this series, we share how to find a local raw dairy farmer, as it's often not sold in stores.
Have you ever made your own ice cream? It's actually really simple, and you don't have to have an ice cream maker. In the video below, we show exactly how we make it in our stand mixer ice cream maker, but we also share how to make this if you do not have an ice cream maker. So, no excuses! Give it a shot.
*Note: we are no longer zero carb carnivore, so we prefer to add raw honey to sweeten the ice cream.
Ingredients (for roughly 2 pints):
2 cups raw heavy cream (can pull from raw milk, see video)
3 raw egg yolks
1/4 tsp Redmond real salt
1 T raw honey
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
If you have raw milk, leave in the fridge until cream visibly separates and then pull cream
Blend cream, yolks, & other additions
Pour into a pre-frozen ice cream maker and allow to churn until thick
Store in fridge & enjoy!
