My name is Yuval (Instagram: @holycarnivore) , I'm from Israel. 40 YO. At age 14 I decided to become a vegetarian. This mistake lasted for 12 straight years. Went back to eating meat for a while and then reverted back to vegetarianism and was also a vegan for a full year. Total time in my life spent as an unhealthy vegetarian was 17 long years.

In September of 2018 I decided to start Keto after a short research. What triggered that was my daughter being born and me not wanting to be a fat, 120 kg dad who cannot keep up with his daughter.

After a year in Keto I eliminated all plants except coffee and was also eating cheese. Since January 1st this year I've been a carnivore eating only beef, fish, chicken, eggs and butter (or ghee).

In total I lost over 43 Kg (about 95 lbs) and I now weigh about 77Kg (169 lbs), which is the lowest I've been in my adult life and I can actually see muscle...

I love the carnivore lifestyle. Thinking about reintroducing dairy and maybe coffee.

    Hi Yuval!

Thank you for sharing, and it's nice to meet you! Despite those 17 long years, it's relieving to see your body still managed to respond well to the changes you've implemented since 2018.

Similar path here -- but not for as long. Just switching from plant based to animal based relieved our inflammation and provided great relief, even if weight loss wasn't necessarily one of them (due to eating in an intentional caloric surplus). Just a hunch, but I imagine there's even more benefits you've experienced than just the weight loss!

Intrigued to see how you respond to dairy/coffee now. That is another thing that's so great about this lifestyle. It is ultimately a form of an elimination diet, and truly allows people to discover what does and what does not work for one's body...

Really happy to hear this lifestyle has allowed you to accomplish what you desired, and your motive is excellent -- but now, the real question... can you keep up with your daughter? 😊
