I really like liver (especially in a raw liver smoothie), and where I live I can get an abundance of locally grown beef liver very cheap. But I've read a little bit that there might be some risks to eating too much liver and that you might get an overdose of vitamin A and maybe some other stuff. So...can you eat too much liver? How might be too much, and how do you know? Are there long term dangers to eating too much liver, and might there be permanent damages caused by it?
Thank you in advance, for answers, resources, and input!
Yes I’ve experienced the vitamin A overdose before. Don’t eat too much liver. “The dose makes the poison.”
